Tournament Structure

The way we have decided to structure the event here will be quite different from others. We’ve done this for a few reasons:

  • This league is focused more on casual fun, rather than a high stress long term commitment.
  • Medal Grabbers, we see you.
  • Less team burnout.

How does the league function?

  • Scream Fortress uses a standard single elimination tournament bracket to organize matches that will run for 5 weeks.
  • The finals are best of three.

Do I get a badge?

  • We will be shipping participants and event winners physical medals!
    • Why not an in-game one? Valve has put a hold on shipping new community event items. We decided to not let this be the end to something amazing. With the recent restriction we decided this option would be a lot more fun and unique.
  • The participant medal can be seen here!
  • If you are eligible to receive a medal you will NOT have to pay for shipping. WE ARE FUNDING IT ALL!

How can I get a badge?

  • Participating in the tournament itself.
    • Due to us funding this out of pocket entierly by ourselves we are only providing the top 10 teams with this.
  • Placing first in the tournament.
  • Placing second in the tournament.
  • Placing third in the tournament.

When will I get my badge?

  • All badges will be shipped out after the season.

Can I play a match after the posted date?

  • No, no exceptions will be made.

What is staff shopping?

  • Staff shopping is going to different staff members hoping to get a different answer in case one of the staff members is caught off guard.

What do I do if my opponent does not respond or show up?

  • If by the default match time no contact has been made, you may submit a forfeit win.

How do I submit a forfeit win?

  • Submit an image of all communications (if any) of your attempt at contacting the team by using the report match button at the top right.
